About University: Established in 1974, Griffith College is a private third level college. It is based in and named after the former Griffith Barracks on the South Circular Road in Dublin and offers courses accredited by a number of institutions and bodies in Ireland and Britain. The college runs full-time courses in design, business, journalism, law, computing and has a range of part-time courses. The Griffith College campus is also the home of the Leinster School of Music. Author Cecilia Ahern is a journalism graduate from Griffith College. Smaller campuses exist in the Mid West Business Institute in Limerick, Skerry's College in Cork and in Moscow in Russia.

Accommodation: Griffith College has its own purpose-built student accommodation – the Griffith Halls of Residence – on its grounds. Students from other nearby colleges also tend to reside here. Off campus, students tend to reside in the surrounding areas in places such as Crumlin, Kilmainham, Kimmage, Rathmines, Rathgar, Ranelagh or in the city centre. The South Circular Road is also hugely popular amongst students of the college.

GHR is within 15 minutes' walking distance of Dublin's city centre and is close to the Luas Red & Green lines. Numerous Dublin bus routes connect GHR to the city. GHR is also within walking distance to many other educational facilities such as Trinity College Dublin, Dublin Institute of Technology, NCAD, Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin Business School, Portobello & Independent Colleges.
