About University: UCD is the Republic of Ireland's largest university. Founded in 1854, it is located on a 365 acre park campus at Belfield, 4km to the south of Dublin City. The university consists of five colleges, their associated schools (34 in total) and 18 research institutes and centres. Each college also has its own graduate school for postgraduates. Some of Ireland's most notable people have attended the school, including five former Taoisigh.

UCD is Ireland's leader in graduate education with over 8,000 graduate students, with almost a quarter being graduate research students. Over 50% of UCD undergraduates progress to graduate studies.

Accommodation: On campus accommodation is provided for around 3,000 students each year. A limited number of off campus accommodation is also provided in Muckross Halls. Most other students tend to reside in and around the campus in Dublin 4 (Ballsbridge, Donnybrook, Sandymount), Dublin 6 (Ranelagh, Rathgar, Rathmines), Dublin 14 (Clonskeagh, Dundrum, Goatstown) or in county areas such as Blackrock, Booterstown, Mount Merrion or Stillorgan.

Cost of On-Campus Accommodation:
The residential fee (rent) is per person for the whole academic year, payable in three instalments:
• 55% on or before the first day of license period
• 20% on or before 12th Jan 2015
• 25% on or before 2 March 2015

Admission Requirement*:

UG: Standard XII from CBSE, ISC or a state board applications will be considered on a case by case basis

PG: Holders of Bachelors and Masters Degrees with good grades from competitive and well ranked universities and colleges can be considered for entry to graduate degrees at UCD.

IELTS Requirements: An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band on the Academic Version.
