A forerunner in terms of academic and scientific discovery, the university is developing plans for a new science and innovation campus to include teaching and research facilities for the College of Engineering, and for business and economics.

Bursaries: £3,000 excellence scholarships for all students who achieve three A grades at A-level or equivalent.

£2,000 merit scholarships for all students who achieve AAB at A-level or equivalent.

Income-related bursaries of up to £3,000, depending on household income and intended degree subject.

Each year, the university offers 10 undergraduate entrance scholarships for students with outstanding sporting talent. Each scholarship is worth £1,000 a year and is renewable for three years. There are also financial contingency funds to assist home students who experience unforeseen financial difficulties.

Admission Requirement*:

UG: Candidates applying for first degrees in Engineering and Science who are not qualified for direct entry to the first year of a degree scheme can be considered for entry to a four year integrated degree scheme.

PG: To be eligible for entrance to a postgraduate degree programme candidates must hold a Bachelor Degree with minium 60 % Grade.

IELTS Requirements:

UG: Undergraduate applicants are required to achieve a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

PG: Postgraduate applicants are required to achieve a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
